📣 Marketing & Communication Internship:

LoungeUp is searching for a new, paid, full-time Marketing Intern who is a native-level fluent English speaker with a good level of French to start at the start of July 2023 for 6 months.
As a Marketing Intern at LoungeUp, you will work directly with the Marketing Manager. You will be her right hand man/woman, helping her with the important behind the scenes work that goes on when promoting LoungeUp. If you are interested in learning more about Marketing and Communication, this is the internship for you.

🧢 You will be in charge of:

• Using both English and French (Spanish is a big bonus) to translate all of LoungeUp’s communications (press releases, articles, blog posts, newsletters, marketing material, social media posts etc.)
• Helping to prepare blog posts which are published on the company website (using Webflow) and visible to clients and prospects
• Collecting articles regarding the latest innovations and technologies in the hotel industry for the Press Review which is published every month. You will really get to know the hotel and tech industry well
• Keeping yourself up to date with the market publications: read news about hotel tech, watch competitors, keep informed about new innovations, identify specific wordings for better translations, share interesting articles, get inspired for next blog posts.
• Using online software applications to create campaigns and infographics
• Helping with the recruitment for the following intern to take your place
• Giving monthly presentations to the team regarding the marketing figures

🔎 What LoungeUp is looking for in a candidate for this role:

Attention to detail: you must be rigorous in your work and be good at checking over your tasks.
Initiative: being proactive about keeping up to date with the news, organising the monthly press review, organising monthly apéros, discussing new marketing strategies with your manager
Organisation: you must be good at taking notes and keeping on top of all of your tasks.
Sociability: LoungeUp is a friendly and young company, with plenty of socials available to attend after work - it is an opportunity for you to really get involved and improve your French.
Very good writing skills and the drive to find the right words for translations: You are responsible for any content published in English: it has to be perfect and professional!
A very good level of French and Native-level fluent English
Spanish is a plus as most translations are required in English, French and Spanish along with blog posts and Press Reviews (we have Spanish Natives to double check).

💬 A word from the current intern

This 6 month internship is well suited to British university students seeking an internship abroad. The language spoken in the office is French, therefore a good level is required to do the job well. This provides a great opportunity to improve your French skills, especially with the company’s social events such as monthly office drinks and lunches. The majority of the people in the office can speak English, so they can help you if you feel a bit rusty at the beginning.
Almost all tasks are done by computer and the company also uses various online tools to perform them, as such the candidate should have a decent level of computer skills. This role is very varied and you are given a lot of responsibility. This gives you excellent experience of the professional world whilst being surrounded by a really friendly team. If you are ready to challenge yourself, improve your language skills and be part of a great team then LoungeUp will suit you very well.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️

**Given the current climate, it is important that we start the process of selection earlier than normal. Brexit means that a visa is now required for British nationals who wish to enter France for a period of 6 monthS to work. Obtaining a visa requires specific documentation including an internship agreement signed by the DREETS in France whose processing time can be up to 1-2 months. It is very important to be able to organise all relevant documentation in good time so that you can start working in Paris on the agreed date. This will mean that you will have an ‘overlap week’ with the current intern who will help you with the onboarding process and be able to answer any questions you have in your first week.
