Therefore, we are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading a team of talented Developers to develop a product used by 3,000+ customers across the globe.

Livestorm is currently looking for Engineering Managers to lead the Room Squad.

As an Engineering Manager for the Room squad (the Room designates the page where a webinar, a web conference, or a meeting is held on Livestorm), your goal will be to improve the overall experience in the room by building or improving functionalities such as the video, chat, polls or recording.

In this role, you’ll work alongside Developers, Technical Support Specialists and Product Designers of the Room Squad, and will be reporting to Tom, the Chief Technology Officer. A close relationship with the Product Manager will also be key in order to define the tasks and goals of the squad.

While Livestorm has headquarters in Paris, we are a remote-first company. As a matter of fact, Stormies are located between France, Germany, Greece, Mauritius, Spain, USA,... so we are looking for the best talent, no matter where you live.

Missions:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Guiding successfully the Room Squad composed of 5 Developers, a Technical Support Specialist, a Product Designer and a Product Manager. You will ensure that the team meets its goals and performs at the highest level.
• Guiding and supporting the Room Squad from a managerial and technical stand-point. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching and retaining our top talent.
• Delivering on the quarterly Objectives and Key Results defined by the CPO and CTO. You will monitor the results and help resolve any blockers to ensure that your Team stays on track of their goals.

As an Engineering Manager for the Room Squad, you’ll also be specifically responsible for:

• Developing the overall experience in the room, with the help of your Team, in order to create engaging functionalities for our customers
• Identifying with the help of your team, any improvements in our product, processes or practices. You will take actions to constantly improve the performance of the Room squad.

For this Engineering Manager - Room Squad role, we are looking for someone with the following experience:

• Strong experience in people management
• Mindset of the product culture
• You are used to work in agile Teams and implement continuous improvement
• Fluency in English and French
• Background in real time technology or video streaming delivery (bonus)
• Good process and quality assurance in mitigating risk and improving quality (bonus)
• Engineering background in software development (bonus)
• Engineering background in DevOps (CI/CD/Infra...) (bonus)
• Background in Product Management or Product Owner (bonus)
• Background in Scrum Master or Agile Coach (bonus)

Moreover, we are looking for someone who can work in the Paris timezone (we accept a time difference of 2 hours maximum).
