TheFork is looking for her/his Associate Director Engineering of Payment. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience at a digital company and with payment related topics to lead technical teams working on new business opportunities, primarily around payment services - 2 teams, 10+ software engineers strong.

What you will do:

As Associate Director of Engineering of 2 development teams in our New Business domain ideally based in Turin, Italy but open to other locations:

Our front-end solutions are built upon ReactJS and graphQL over material design style guide,
Our back-end technical stack relies mainly on NodeJS framework and PostgreSQL databases
Our scalable cloud infrastructure is based on AWS, Kubernetes and Istio
Our production is monitored with New Relic complemented by Prometheus and Grafana.
We are using unit, functional and integration testing to have quality proof software
We use JIRA and Confluence for project and knowledge management

 Who you are:

You are a seasoned manager with 10+ years of experience of managing 10+ people in an international environment
You are business savvy, rigorous, dynamic & curious, equipped with an agile mindset and a strong team spirit
Ability to think on your feet in a fast-moving, growing environment. Challenging, but cool if you think about it.
You have experience with architectural patterns of large-scale applications
Previous experience with payment domain is a plus
You already have coached and mentored team members including senior ones.
You are fluent in writing and in speaking in English.
