With La Belle Assiette, the restaurant comes to your home, company’s office or to iconic venues.

The company has built a robust platform which allows private and corporate clients to book a local Chef, in just a few clicks.

Our partners are independent Chefs, spread across 5 markets in Europe, managing their business on their fingertips, while focusing on what they are passionate about: inventing new recipes.

Our network currently counts more than 450 active Chefs and we strive every day to help each one of them grow their business and break the silos with traditional restaurants and catering.

Job description

Working closely with Julie, our Head of Operations, you’ll ensure we deliver excellent services across our international markets to both our Clients and our Partners (the Chefs).

You’ll join an international team of 13 people, with different backgrounds, with a resolutely entrepreneurial, insanely helpful, hardworking and highly driven attitude.

As our Event Manager Summer Intern, you will be responsible for

  • Maintaining a seamless customer experience - one of the key pillars of La Belle Assiette’s success - by supporting and assisting customers from start to finish, with a particular focus on meeting all their expectations.

  • Responding to customer requests for quotes by telephone, email and live chat and converting them.

  • Ensuring that customers receive a personalised service by providing simple, efficient and helpful support.

  • Finding the best solutions to customers’ and Chefs’ challenges throughout the order cycle.

  • Maintaining a high level of engagement from our Chefs (i.e. monitoring the quality of their menus, calendar availability and various performance-enhancing KPIs).

  • Actively participating to the improvement of our platform and the implementation of new service offerings to the customer (i.e. improvement of processes and tools, launch of new food experiences, test new product features and collect feedback from our Clients and Partners).

Preferred experience

What we look for

  • Excellent sales skills and ability to be persuasive over the phone;
  • Native English speaker or full professional proficiency. B2 French speaker (as you will operate on both markets);
  • Autonomous, adaptable and agile: at ease managing unexpected situations and implementing new processes;
  • Attention to details and able to multitask efficiently dealing with multiple tools at once ;
  • Persistent : you like to understand problems, look at the available data in order to propose fact-based solutions;
  • Team player (we value a lot collaboration and being able to help each other);
  • Innovative spirit, expresses itself and is not afraid to propose new ideas;
  • Previous experience in premium services/goods’ customer service (Luxury hotel or restaurant) is a significant plus.

Recruitment process

  • Step 1: A 30’ visio interview with Julie, our Head of Customers & Chefs Operations, Europe

  • Step 2: A remote case study, including a real-life situation. Usually takes 60’ minutes to complete

  • Step 3: A visio session of two interviews, 45’ each, with two colleagues from the Operations, Growth or Finance teams.
