If you ever had to organize an event for your company, you know it’s a stressful and painful process that involves finding a venue, catering, maybe housing, waiting for quotes, comparing, booking and praying that it will all go as planned. Kactus was born to make that experience fast and simple.

We are developing and growing a B2B marketplace that connects venue managers to their future customers, through a simple, well-designed search engine and booking experience.

To facilitate contractualisation and payment, we have developed our own set of tools like a quoting and invoicing software, which enables venue managers to completely digitalize their business activity on Kactus.

Since we launched in 2016, more than 10 000 companies have used our platform. We aim to become the european leader of Corporate Events booking in a few years.

Financially, we are backed by Idinvest (Blablacar’s fund) and the French BPI, and have raised an additional 3M€ in 2020 (total raised = 9.5M€).

We are a remote-first company of 25 people, which means you can work from wherever you feel best, as long as you stay in a +2/-2 time range from Paris. If you live in Paris, we also have an HQ near Republique where you can work, though it is not required: we intend to stay remote-first even after COVID clears out.

Job description

What you’ll be working on

As our Content & Brand Lead your job will be to shape and own Kactus’ messaging and communications. You will be the owner of the voice and image of Kactus. Your work could be cut into the 4 following focuses:

1) Refine and perfect Kactus’ positioning
2) Define and execute a content strategy which generates new business
3) Grow awareness and consideration of Kactus’ brand
4) Support other teams with A-level content

This role is a dual strategic and production role. You will own both the strategy around business positioning, editorial calendar and brand awareness as will as being responsible for producing the content you recommend. This is a senior level position that will work directly with our executive team, reporting to the head of marketing.

Preferred experience

About you

To succeed in this role it is key you are capable of and excited about owning many parts of the content and brand mix: content strategy, content promotion, brand positioning, content production. You need to be a French native speak as we adresses the French market.

  • Excellent French wiriting skills
  • 4+ years of experience in a content marketing & brand positioning
  • Proven results creating and promoting content that drives business results
  • History of crafting compelling brands (B2B is a plus)
  • Strong capabilities in strategy and production
  • Ability to work efficiently with a leadership team
  • Autonomus, self-motivated doer
  • Ability to use data to make decisions
