To help us succeed on this mission, we’re looking for a true data mastermind. As our data analyst, you will have a chance to join this company early and shape its success. You will have a chance to massively impact the trajectory of what may be the next big thing in e-commerce.

You will play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. Your work will be highly visible and critical to our success. You will be able to (and are expected to!) make an immediate impact.

You will:

• Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies for Jow’s organization
• Analyze the complex datasets and create models to interpret and predict trends or patterns in the customer base using time series analysis and forecasting, linear regression analysis (multivariate, simple/multiple linear regression)
• Help build internal and external reporting dashboards
• Work closely with technical and product teams to provide them with data-driven insights
• Help marketing and business teams with their analytics
• Proactively identify product and business opportunities through analysis of Jow’s datasets

Desirable Skills

• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific/data science field
• You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience building data architectures and/or working on data issues, ideally in a fast growing data-driven start-up company
• You have exceptionally strong analytical skills. Strength in strategic data interpretation and visual representation of data
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills; experience in interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
• Experience gathering business requirements and understanding and translating business needs into data models
• Experience creating logical and physical data models to ensure high data quality and reduced product data redundancy
• Proficiency in core data science toolkit (R/Python, SQL/Hive, NoSQL databases, large-scale data sets manipulation, descriptive and predictive modeling, data visualization…)
