Team culture:

Jellysmack has developed one-of-a-kind technology built around four products aimed at optimizing video creation and distribution on social networks.

The Cloud & Data Platform, part of the Tech teams of ~250 people, builds and maintains the tailored runtime environment on which all workloads run. We make services readily-usable for other engineering and data teams to build their products on, like AWS managed services, Kubernetes, Airflow, streaming services, etc...

We provide tooling based on infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows to deploy seamlessly and let teams provision infrastructure or run datastores at scale.

We keep an eye on Cloud costs and help teams track them.

Your mission:

Build modern self-served infrastructure products in a public cloud environment.

You will lay the foundation and apply best practices to design our cloud environment and drive its adoption and usage by other teams.

You will use users feedback to improve our platform and make sure other teams are building in autonomy within the framework and tooling.

Requirements

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Be the expert for all things AWS
• Be the goto person for Terraform, Kubernetes, containers, GitOps
• Build relationships internally with the tech teams
• Build and operate infrastructure layers used by hundred of engineers and data scientists
• Be on-call for your team’s scope
• Mentor other engineers in your team

A little about you:

• You know everything about AWS, bonus point for AWS certification(s)
• You have used Terraform and have crafted complex code organization
• You have a good understanding of Kubernetes (and EKS) and Docker
• You have a strong experience with modern CI/CD systems (Gitlab-CI, Github Actions, Argo CD, etc)
• You can troubleshoot OS-level issues
• You can drive an Incident Management process
• You strive to collaborate and communicate across a large organization
