Position Mission and Objectives:

IPSOS’s global Management Information Systems (MIS) consists of several key tools to manage our
Financial and HR data and processes. One of these tools, iQuote, a global quotation and pricing tool,
requires a transition to new technology. The goal of the MIS team is to maximize the value of our
pricing technology with a tool to drive automation and manage consistent pricing at Ipsos globally.
The core activity of the development team is to complete the recently started transition of iQuote to
a new backend engine and a new user Interface technology and maintain and expand the tool for
future needs.
We’re looking for a dynamic candidate, who likes challenges with a team spirit. To join us, you like
working in an international environment and you are fluent in English. The position is open to
candidates with a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience. We are looking for a candidate who is able to
challenge status quo, think out of the box and understands quotation and pricing algorithms and
logic.

Environment:

Based in Europe, (preferably Paris, alternative options Amsterdam, Bucharest), the mission will
encompass working with a multicultural team in a global environment in a matrix organization,
across different time zones. The Developer will be reporting to the iQuote Global Director and will
be working closely with multi-disciplinary development teams and the iQuote Functional team, in an
IT environment. The mission proposed is for a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

Lead developer of internal quotation engine, a web-based service backend system

• Develop algorithms and functionalities
• Define structure and design of future features and functionalities
• Translate existing algorithms and functionalities into the new structure and design
• Build integration API’s with other systems in Ipsos, mainly to support several End to End
  workflows for (automated) execution of research projects
• Lead and grow an India based development team to a higher level to be able to extend and
  maintain the quotation engine in future
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects, daily
  interaction with other MIS developers, functional leads and management
• Produce and maintain documentation of development efforts they are responsible for

Profile:

Technical skills:
.Net developer with C#, TypScript

• MS Visual Studio

• HTML, CSS, with extensive experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and jQuery
• Generic Handlers, HTTP Modules, and Shared Libraries and NuGet.
• JSON, XML and XSLT
• Source Control (Mercurial/TortoiseHg preferred)
  SQL server
• DDL and DML scripting with Transact-SQL (stored procedures, views, triggers, userdefined functions & tables types etc).
• CTE, FOR XML syntax, Indexing, Query Plans and Optimization
