Your mission

As a key function within an innovative digital broker, the Operations team is central to leveraging and developing the capabilities of the Indeez technology platform without forgetting the importance of human involvement in providing industry best-practice claims management and customer care.

With a specific focus on capturing learnings, designing and improving processes, preparing insightful metrics, and contributing to operational improvement you will be required to assist the Operations team across all stages of executing and managing a digital insurance program. This internship opportunity will build experience in all areas of the Operations function covering project management, implementation, customer care, and account management. You will learn about the ins and outs of digital insurance programs.

Your role and impact on the business

As the Customer Support and Operations Apprentice, you will be a vital member of the Operations team. You will leverage your expertise to support Indeez’s operations and program management and contribute to the launch and servicing of insurance programs. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading customer support & claims management including:

    • Customer support - serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses about our insurance products and programs. You will handle technical bugs and issues, including coordinating bug resolutions with the tech team

    • Claims management - lead the claims management process including initial eligibility checks, transferring claims to TPAs, and monitoring and coordinating claims until full resolution

    • Complaints handling - manage customer complaints with empathy, ensuring thorough documentation and swift resolution

  • Contributing to account management including:

    • Preparing and analyzing reports on metrics of live programs including subscriptions/enrollments, premiums, claims, customer support, SLAs, and complaints for internal and external stakeholders

    • Conduct regular audits of program data and identifying any discrepancies

    • Assist in maintaining and updating the RMC or the data dashboard

    • Identify opportunities to enhance both company-wide and program-specific processes and systems, driving growth and ensuring scalability.

  • Contributing to new programs: support the operational team in new program launches which includes assisting in project management and operational and technical set-up

What you will bring

  • You are a fluent English speaker and have working proficiency in French

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master 1/Master 2 program in a university, business or engineering school

  • You have a natural customer-first mindset, with a strong interest in delivering excellent customer support and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for every user

  • You are highly-organized with a passion for efficiency and meticulous attention to detail

  • You are goal-oriented, agile, and creative 

  • You have the curiosity to go out of your comfort zone to learn new skills, collaborate with colleagues towards problem-solving, and meet Indeez goals

  • You are flexible; we are a young startup, and you will be working on a variety of tasks

  • You’re available to start in July 2025 (Preferred: 3 weeks in the company, 1 week at school)
