Role Overview

The position of logistics manager is for managing the French related transportation, warehousing, and customs & trade compliance activities. Lead and develop relationships with providers to enhance service and quality of H&H business.

Position Responsibilities

Transportation Management
Day to day communication with forwarder, shipping company, airline, handle the shipment from/to Europe operationally
Manage the preparation of all international freight shipments to ensure they arrive on time, including all related shipping and customs paperwork (Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Health, CIQ, Bill of Landing, SLI’s, FTA, etc)
Manage all freight to ensure items are subject to the correct tariffs. This will include HS code management across all products.
Liaise with suppliers and carriers to ensure forecasts are communicated and cargo space available at the global benchmark lowest cost for the lane.
Track and trace shipment status on daily basis
Negotiate with logistics suppliers to get competitive price & good control on the cost for domestic trucking
Deal with damage and loss claim, and freight bill audit from origin.
Drive regional QBR and maintain regional supplier relationship
Balance the reliable supply and cost reduction for the region
Cost to serve modelling to enhance company GM.

Warehouse and Distribution Management
 Manage warehouse operation efficiently and meet our KPI
 Provide forecast to warehouse, ensure enough space for storage; Inbound and outbound shipments are on-time finished
 Physical stock take per month/quarter, ensure inventory accuracy
 Instruct and monitor warehouse to destroy those damaged and expiry goods
 Negotiate with logistics suppliers to get competitive price and good control on the cost
 Provide VAS support (Value Added Service) for labeling and other VAS support for the warehousing in Europe
 Provide regional transportation operations distribution as needed
 Customs and Trade Compliance Management
 As a gatekeeper for customs and trade compliance for the region.
 Keep abreast with the current legal requirement for import and export, and do due-diligence for the regulatory research
 Provide periodic trade compliance audit/assessment for new supplier qualification (not only limited to logistics but raw material/CM as well from TC perspective) and incumbents periodically to ensure and improve the compliance level.

Production Monitoring/PO tracking
 Monitor with contract manufacturers for products readiness (Actual Production Release Date) vs. PO ship date
 Arrange the freight pick up from the factories and freight booking when the INCOTERMs are EXW
 Support manufacturers to provide full set of shipping docs to ensure efficient and smooth customs clearance and compliance.
 Monitor free trade agreements between countries to make better use of Tariffs.

Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor’s degree is required. Major in business, logistics sourcing, supply chain management. MBA is an advantage.
 Proven record solid experiences for 5+ years on EMEA logistics, transportation and Customs & trade compliance including INCOTERMS and freight charters
 Logistics control tower experiences is an advantage
 Good communication, written, and influencing skills in English
 Willing to work under pressure. Accept challenge and meet commitment for flawless execution.
 A good sense of urgency and time management well manage priorities and targets;
 Familiar with the process of import/export operation, domestics delivery, warehouse;
 Ability to manage third-party logistics suppliers (3PL and 4PL) to meet high service standard
 Analytical skills with good sense of the big picture as well as a keen eye for details
 Mature, self-motivated, strong result-orientation, able to work under pressure
 E-Comm platforms in relation to Warehousing & Distribution.
 Direct to consumer logistics modelling. Working with companies such as Amazon.
