Location: Flexible Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, within proximity to an office location.

The Role

On this team you are going to be responsible for delivering automated cinematic storytelling solutions for advanced video editing features to easily build incredible videos. These features are built for mobile and desktop based on a variety of technical challenges in the areas of media understanding.

The person in this role will be responsible for media analysis, collecting, interpreting large dataset and extracting valuable meaning. In this role, you will be a part of a computer vision and machine learning team, exploring new ways to streamline the editing process, researching and applying a range of cutting edge research techniques to propose advanced editing features for the GoPro users.

What You Will Do

• Review the state of the art algorithms and models, implement and benchmark the existing solutions
• Explore new ways to automate the editing process via recommendation algorithms, from POCs to production.
• Work closely with Creative Technologists and Product Managers to identify new ways to better understand users’ media and preferences.
• Collaborate with Backend Engineers to implement advanced media processing pipelines.

Skills We’re Excited About

• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Experience with media processing (audio, image, video)
• Experience with standard Machine Learning techniques & frameworks
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Strong communication skills - ability to work in a distributed work environment
