Descriptif du poste

Context :

  • Our typical customers are companies with hundreds of developers that are leveraging hundreds of services like SaaS applications, cloud infrastructures, or internal microservices and are mature on DevOps and cloud adoption.

  • Our products are used by different teams: Software Development and Ops teams, Application Security, Threat Response and the buying decision comes from CISOs / CTOs / Directors of Security.

  • Our interlocutors are very often highly technical persons.
    You must be able to explain the technical details of our products and services to such prospects and existing clients.

  • We have a very strong presence on the US market where most of our revenue comes from.

  • We are addressing the US market entirely from France with a team of English-native Account Executives selling the product over videoconference (yes, this is also the case for 6 figures deals!).
    You must be willing to work over video conferences in such an international environment and be perfectly fluent in English.

The existing team :

  • You will be joining an existing team of 3 Sales Engineers managed by Stanilas, and you will work in close collaboration with a team of 10 Account Executives that reports to the CEO.
  • You will also collaborate with other departments such as Marketing and Product to prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining our solutions to existing and prospective customers.

Mission :
Our tech team built a set of tools that scan GitHub public activity and git private repositories.
As a Sales Engineer, you main objectives are:

  • During the pre-sales period, helping Account Executives close more deals
  • After the sale, making sure our customers get the most value out of GitGuardian products.
    You will :
  • Be the Technical Voice and Face of our Sales processes, by becoming a GitGuardian technical product expert!
  • Drive the technical aspects of the sale, providing support, POC, demonstrating product expertise.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to create all the technical collaterals needed for a better understanding of our solutions
  • Partner with Marketing and Product team to help them better understand the market needs
  • Thanks to your amazing communication skills and your strong technical knowledge, you will be the bridge between the Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams. You help them communicate and better understand each other’s needs & problems.

  • You have 3-5 years of successful previous experience as a Sales Engineer or Customer Success for a developer focused environment
  • You have an engineering degree background
  • You have a good knowledge of the DevSecOps and Software Development ecosystems
  • You have a previous experience working with highly technical customers
  • You are willing to be an important part of GitGuardian’ success by merging the different job cultures and knowledge between Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineers.
  • You have strong project management skills since the pre-sales or post-sales periods often involve speaking with multiple persons working in multiple teams, either internally or externally.
  • Of course, you have strong English oral and written skills - most communications will be in English
