We help developers write code that is more secure and protects their enterprises against unauthorized access to some of their most critical systems and data.

Our typical customers are companies (mainly American) with hundreds of developers that are leveraging hundreds of services like SaaS applications, cloud infrastructures, or internal microservices and are mature on DevOps and cloud adoption.
We work with large financial institutions, one of the largest IT outsourcing companies, publicly listed companies like Talend or tech companies like Datadog.

GitGuardian already helped more than 100 of the Fortune 500 as well as government organizations find exposed sensitive information on GitHub, that could often lead to tens of millions of dollars in potential damage.

Mission

We are looking for a passionate Lead Software Engineer to help us develop a developer-first cybersecurity solution.
You will be a part of GitGuardian’s journey, that protects the open source community against hackers and makes it a robust, scalable and globally trusted product!
You will build a set of tools that scan GitHub public activity and git private repositories.
As a Lead Developer in our internal repository monitoring team, you will report directly to the engineering manager.
By joining our team, you will take an active part in:

  • Leading our “enterprise grade” feature team composed of 2 senior backend engineers
  • Shaping the product in close collaboration with the other lead developer
  • Working closely with our experienced Product Manager on a 2 weeks sprints release
  • Doing hands-on software development
  • Working closely with other highly-skilled developers
  • Maintaining and ensuring an excellent quality of developed code
  • Participating in the growth of our technical teams! We are growing from 20 to 30 developers to support our growth in 2021.

Our technical stack:

  • Backend: Python + Django, Go, RabbitMQ, Redis
  • DB: Elasticsearch (+ Kibana), PostgreSQL
  • Frontend: React / Typescript
  • Deployment: Docker, Terraform, AWS

We seek to automate the creation of “policies” that are enforced at every stage of the development lifecycle (IDE and pre-commit, CI) to make the source code more secure.
Our offices are based in central Paris (75011) and each person of the team can do remote work for 2 days a week in order to facilitate a good work - life balance.


Profil recherché

  • Previous relevant experience as a Team Lead in a startup environment
  • Degree in engineering, computer science or similar technical field
  • 4 - 6 years of web software development experience, with a strong Python knowledge
  • Experience working with the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems.
  • Experience handling big data ( 100 Go < < 10 To) with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ELK stack
  • Dynamic and proactive personality with excellent communication skills
  • Have experienced strong team growth in a previous company

Bonus points:

  • You know how to set up a development environment with Docker.
  • You don’t embed API keys in your code ;-)

  • 1 final step : demo product with the associated PM + interview with the CEO
