What’s the job about

Your mission, should you accept it, has two key components:

• manage our Research consulting operations in order to deliver high-quality services,
• support our Product team project management to ship a delightful product to our customers.

Operations at Ferpection consist in organizing both the service delivery and our technology development. Our end goal is to deliver high customer satisfaction, which we take very seriously as we measure it systematically and review these learnings altogether.

• As Head of Operations you will be forging the link between the Consultant, Product and Sales teams.
• You will need to make sure that operations are under control, and make things smooth and comfortable for the Ferpection team.
• You are a master in processes and are not scared of improving them and always find new ways to improve our internal work.
• You are also comfortable with business principles for a consulting agency and have technical skills to interact easily with our developers team to help them to pilot projects, build the roadmap and prioritize projects.

Operations in details:

Consultant team:

• Consultants’ operations management still provides many areas for improvement, and you will be free to find and explore new ways of optimization.
• Anticipate, plan, and adapt our projects for our customers, balancing the workload and well-being of the consultants.
• Find the right balance and reporting to make sure the workload can deliver against our turnover objective, but also the production capacity of the team (with a workload voluntarily set at 80% for each consultant), making sure we are on track with our financial objective and the company culture as a liberated company.
• Understand and leverage the consulting business principles in order to anticipate the production capabilities, while following them over the course of the year.
• Lead a couple of key customer projects.

Product team:

• Make sure software development projects are delivered on time and the roadmap stays on tracks respecting the following principles: velocity, value-driven and quality.
• Find ways to integrate the product team to our operations management.
• Be the support of our developers’ team to help them structure and organize the roadmap.
• Work closely with our Product Designer and Head of UX to make the job of the Product team smooth and well organized.

Sales team:

• Provide the sales team with the right information regarding the consultant workload to help them offer meaningful planning to our customers.
• Help them to challenge and adapt customers’ planning.
• Our Sales team is accustomed to such discussions with our customers ;-)

What we expect from you

• You can express yourself in proper French and English, both orally and in written language.
• You have proven track records in an agency, consulting, or as a PMO.
• You have the technical knowledge and are able to help software developers to build a roadmap and challenge their project management.
• You have more than 7 years of experience as a Product Manager, Project manager, or any position that required strong organization skills.
• You are able to demonstrate how you can organize projects and make sure the processes are well respected.
• You have strong communication skills and you are a good listener.
• You are aware of UX Research and want to learn more about it.
• Ideally, you’ve already experimented with working remotely.
• Ideally, you’ve already experimented with an innovative managing system.
