Epigene Labs is a seed stage and venture-backed startup founded in 2019 in Paris, and at the intersection of data science, genomics, and drug discovery in oncology. We are building a technology platform for the aggregation, analysis, and visualization of multidimensional genomic data (multi-omic data): still major hurdles for cancer drug hunters. This platform relies on semantic technologies and machine learning algorithms for clinical data harmonization, and on biostatistics, bioinformatics, and system biology methods for multi-omic data analysis. We operate within an innovative, value-based business model promoting incentive alignment between cancer scientists and data scientists for the discovery of novel precision oncology approaches. Towards this goal, we are seeking a talented Front-End Engineer / Senior Front-End Engineer eager to leverage his/her skills in our fight against cancer. This role will report directly to Epigene’s Head of Engineering. The team is located in Paris at Station F, world’s biggest startup campus, and benefits from the advisory of world-class cancer scientists, data scientists, and technologists, as well as seasoned tech and biotech entrepreneurs and investors, including daphni.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the front-end interface of a state-of-the-art software platform for genomic data-driven drug discovery in oncology
• Implement and improve modern technologies, best practices and testing in the company’s current development workflow
• Handle data and interactions from the front-end to build bridge to the back-end
• Interact with our backend API while leveraging a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary work setting involving software engineers, data scientists and computational biologists

Minimum Requirements

• MS in software development, engineering or related technical field
• Experience of 2+ years in front-end development
• Experience in ReactJS-Redux, CSS and design libraries (Bootstrap, Material Design)
• Experience in one or more testing framework (Jasmin, Selenium, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience involving the analysis of biological/medical data
• Working knowledge of healthcare, biopharma and/or oncology
• Experience with plotting libraries (JS)
• Interest for UX design to creates apps both modern (responsive, following best practices) suited for scientific users (representing big data while being easy-to-use)
