Le poste

Descriptif du poste

We are looking for a motivated grant writer to complement our grant management unit (transnational EU funded projects, Horizon Europe, ANR). We expect you to independently coordinate a full research grant application from the initial contact to a full proposal, supported by our grant application team. Depending on your profile, benchwork (microfluidic cell culture, alpha testing) to develop proof of concept microfluidic systems for our ongoing European projects will be part of your mission. At Elvesys, we are interested in people with a diverse set of skills and levels of experience. What counts for us is the mindset, the curiosity, the positive energy, the ability to learn.

Your missions will be the following:

  • Together with our grant application team, you will establish contact with potential collaborators and participate in the grant writing process of projects around microfluidics for all types of applications (biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, environmental sciences, medicine, …)

  • You will work with our team on the practical implementation of scientific projects around microfluidics to meet the needs and specifications of our research partners (project management and benchwork for instrument testing and validation)

  • You will pro-actively seek new project opportunities linked to microfluidics (contacting potential collaborators, keeping up to date with open EU calls).

Profil recherché

Required profile:

  • You have a university degree (PhD in biology, chemistry, or other STEM areas). Knowledge in microfluidics is a plus.

  • Excellent English (spoken and written) is mandatory

  • You have a particular interest in conceptualizing scientific and technical projects.

  • You are able to manage a large number of projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • You master the use of common office software.

  • You have excellent organizational and writing skills.

  • You have a capacity for initiative and animation.

  • You feel comfortable in an international environment and are able to work independently.

  • You have laboratory experience, preferably in mammalian cell and organ-on-chip culture.

  • You have an ability to synthesize and analyze.

  • You have a sense of responsibility.

  • You bring motivation, involvement and good interpersonal skills.

  • Reactivity, rigor and initiative.

  • You don’t like routine, and you can adapt quickly to changes in direction.

  • You want to do meaningful work, and you want your participation in our research projects to help change the world.

Ideally, you also have some:

  • Experience in setting up national or European funding with national and international partners.
  • Experience in the follow-up or management of scientific calls for proposals.

At Elvesys, we like: People of action, creative people, autonomous people, curious people, team players. People who do more than talk, people who are demanding of themselves and who take care of those around them. Those who question themselves, those who want an intense and contrasting life. Those who bring pastries for the team.
