About AngelX

AngelX aims at being a software powered asset manager in the early stage European technology investment space. Our vision is that Angel Investment will continue to increase as an asset class in the coming years, especially in Europe, to follow the US trend. AngelX will be the go-to-platform for everything related to angel-investing, with a club deal / private platform twist. AngelX will empower the Operator-angel-investor with the instruments he/she needs to invest with AngelX taking care of the regulatory and process flow hassle.

We’re leveraging our expertise acquired running club deals to launch this new venture. We created an internal tool for eFounders a few years ago. It helps club deal managers focus on deal sourcing and investor relationship management. Overall, more than €100m was raised on it. It is also a powerful software that has enabled 3000+ private investors to organise their investment information at the same place (investments made outside of a club, valuation updates, documents storage, etc).

But we want to go even further. AngelX will become the all-in-one software for private investors, companies and the early-stage investment (tech) asset class. With this new bold mission in mind, we are growing our tech team and launching a major revamp of our data model.
We are are looking for a CTO to organize and drive this bigger team.

Role of CTO

You’ll work hand in hand with Quentin (eFounders’ cofounder) a team of +/- 5 dedicated people (project managers, investment analysts and the tech team) and with the eFounders’ core-team to :

• Drive and run the technical team, allowing everyone to grow and give their full potential
• Challenge the existing technical strategy and set up objectives to support our growth
• Design the product to provide fluidity, efficiency and quality
• Ensure quality of our technical stack and software reliability
• Develop, deploy and maintain all these new features for our investor web app
• Ensure code review and knowledge sharing across the team

We’re looking for the best talents mastering our stack! It includes (for now 🙂):

• Database: PostgreSQL
• Hosting: AWS (backend), Vercel (frontend)
• Backend: NestJS - Prisma - TypeScript - GraphQL - ApolloServer
• Frontend: NextJS - React - TypeScript - ApolloClient

• 6+ years of software engineer experience on full-stack web apps. Experience of managing tech teams is strongly recommended.
• You have an interest for angel investment and the venture capital world.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in fast-paced environments where you have broad responsibilities.
• Ownership mentality: you are a doer and have a bias for action, no task is below you.
• Organization skills: you know how to prioritize and split your tasks efficiently.
