About Elba
Elba was founded in 2021 by Théo Rouer (ESSEC, former VC / Data analyst at Otium (now Frst), Plug and Play, Comet), Grégoire Ostian (ESSEC, former strategy consultant at Kea) and Antoine Berton (Stanford, built 2 companies and 1st software engineer at Cajoo). Elba joined eFounders to build a cutting-edge product in the cybersecurity space. Together, we want to empower employees so they can better protect themselves and their companies in the face of cyber threats. We are fully reinventing the way SMBs manage cybersecurity.
At Elba our mission is to empower employees against cyber threats.
Cyber threats have exploded in the post-pandemic context. SMBs have become a target of choice for hackers. They are not well-prepared to face cyber risks, they are increasingly remote, and as a result more vulnerable and are an entry point to enterprises. Attacks against SMBs have exploded by 600% in the last 8 months.
The human factor is by far the weakest point in the security chain. 80% of successful cyber-attacks involve social engineering and human error. This is an ever-growing problem globally
What if there were a tool that could provide employees with continuous education around cybersecurity as soon as their first day at work? What if this tool could be enriched with security apps, effectively assisting them in spotting malicious practices?
Cybersecurity is hard, we want to make it easy and let companies and their employees focus on what they do best. Let’s tackle this tough problem together and reinvent how we think about cybersecurity at work.
What we will build :
Ignorance is the first cause of human errors. We will first build a web platform to provide tailored cybersecurity training to every employee and make sure everyone stays up-to-date.
Even with education, there is still room for errors: just a few seconds of inattention can cause a severe security breach. We will harness the power of code to develop basic security apps to spot human errors before they are executed and suggest relevant training when it is most needed.
We will then invent new standards to provide an open API for any security app to integrate with the platform, in order to provide continuous monitoring, alerting, and trigger training from an endless variety of sources.
