Mission

Easymile development environment is based on a redhat-like OS. We mostly use official packages and updates, but for internal tools and common administration, using custom RPMs is needed.

As we cannot upstream our packages, we need to setup a in house rpm repository that will host all our custom packages.

The main goal of this internship is to setup such a server (within our infrastructure) and create administration packages (hodling scripts) to be deployed on development machines of our engineers. This tool may also be used in the automatic environment installation we internally use.

Within the EZDrive department, in collaboration with an internship supervisor, you will:

• Setup a rpm repository and make it available on the internal network (including security concerns)
• Write (meta)packages to easy engineer boxes maintenance
• package (create packages) of custom 3rd party softwares we use and integrate them to our build environment

This hands-on internship is made for you if are fan of linux administration and like people to enjoy turn key solutions you can create to save them time.

We are looking for:

• Software engineer interested by providing effective solutions for software factories
• Good knowledge on Linux environment, preferably redhat-like OSs
• Interest for software build/deployment
• Some scripting knowledge
• Good Spoken/Written English

Desirable:

• Interest for rpm packages and rpmbuild tool
• Knowledge of CMake
• Docker and Virtual Machines
• Experience with software version control and code review processes

• 30 minutes call with a recruitment officer
