PostgreSQL | DBA | DB as a Service | AWS Aurora | Azure | GCP 

You will work in a multifunctional team, acting as an internal service provider for development teams and operating PostgreSQL at scale on various Hyperscalers. Developers need to rely on a seamless PostgreSQL database backend, just by annotating the service and ideally everything else is taken care of. 

In case of service degradation, (hot-)fixing a database, running under high load, and later analyzing the root-causes during Post-Mortems in order to prevent further occurrences and increase resilience. 

Your role:

• Providing Databases as a Service for application teams 
• Support the development teams with performance optimizations and query optimization 
• ​​​​​​​Automating orchestration of database backends, utilizing service offerings where possible
• ​​​​​​​Acting as Special Matter Expert for internal customers/consumers

• Technical study related to Software Engineering or similar 
• A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with administering PostgreSQL deployments 
• A minimum of 2+ years of public cloud exposure 
• Automation and building resilient (self-healing) deployments is part of your daily routine 
• Terraform knowhow is a big plus
