Dott is a European micromobility operator founded in 2018 by Henri Moissinac and Maxim Romain. Dott currently operates a fleet of over 40,000 electric scooters in major cities in Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain and the UK. Paris is the first city to benefit from the new Dott electric bicycle service.

Job description

We believe in a future where inner cities are free of cars, congestion and pollution. By offering our dockless electrical scooters and bikes as convenient alternatives for short-distance travel, we believe we can make that future possible. Our mission is to free our cities with clean rides for everyone in Europe and beyond. Founded in Europe, Dott is comprised of a highly experienced team of inquisitive minds in mobility and tech. What we do today has a tangible impact on tomorrow. We reached our in-house sustainability target of 100% renewable energy, and ensure equitability in our communities through collaborating with city charities, officials and safety boards.

Dott is currently operating in 9 countries and over 40 cities, 15 in Italy, with big challenges and plans ahead for 2022. We’re looking for a Public Policy Intern to support our growth in the country and our relationships with key stakeholders such as municipalities, institutions, partners, etc. The ideal candidate is a smart and dedicated person, eager to learn and grow together with us. The position will be located in Milan.

What you’ll do, together with the Public Policy team:

  • Support the team and the Public Policy Manager in developing and shaping knowledge about Dott & its strengths within cities
  • Collaborate with the team to show reliability, trust and proactivity towards cities and other external stakeholders
  • Organise policy relevant events, partnerships and activities, in collaboration with all the internal stakeholders.
  • Support some PR and communication activities, creating content for newsletters and social media posts. 
  • Research and analyse the political and governmental landscape in Italy, including regulations and policies developments.
  • Support in reviewing city satisfaction about Dott service where Dott operates, discussing improvement plans with city operations teams
  • Contribute to building lasting and value-adding partnerships that support the team’s goals
  • What you’ll need:

  •  A minimum experience in public affairs/policy, project management, institutional relations, policy-related consulting, mobility consulting or similar
  • A network of established relationships - especially if into mobility related public and private sector stakeholders - is a big plus
  • Degree in Political Science, Law, International Relations, Economy, Communication, or similar. Master in public affairs, lobbying or institutional relations is a big plus.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with additional languages as a plus
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage various stakeholders
  • Event management and papers writing skills
  • A vision and passion for green mobility
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate proactive attitude and thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment and in multiple teams simultaneously.
