Data Platform is embedded within the Data Operations team whose mission is to provide Deezer teams with trusted data, innovative data solutions that are easy to use and understand. 

Data Platformers focuses on providing a reliable, scalable, resource-efficient data platform, services to meet data users’ needs. At Deezer the “Data Platform” refers to the set of tools, services and frameworks created, maintained to empower and support all data teams.

What you will do:

• Design, develop and improve data pipelines and be accountable for them
• Be a technical referent for your team’s member and the data community
• Ensure, with the support of the tech leader, that all the code written and the architecture is of high quality and scalable
• Explain complex subjects in simple term for non-technical people and participate in the data community by collaborating with other data engineers, analysts and scientists 
• Participate in projects planning, standups and retrospectives
• Being a technical support for your stakeholders

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years experience in software engineering using Big Data technologies
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks focused on data processing (SQL, Spark/ PySpark,  Python /Scala)
• Proven experience with data processing facing volume or velocity challenges
• Affinity with Ops topics (CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure, Finops) and tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Ability to understand & explain complex architectures
• Experience of sharing good practices between teams
• Fluent in English
