We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Science team and help further develop Deezer’s data-driven mindset.

We are part of the BI and Data Analytics team, which mission is to find the correct levers within the product & business to further drive Deezer’s growth. Through our analysis and predictions tools, we ensure Deezer is fitting our users’ needs.

As a Data Scientist, you will use machine learning & statistics, turning hundreds of terabytes of data into insights and predictions. You will dig into our mountains of data (Hadoop Cluster: Hive/Spark,Python…) finding the needle in the haystack.

What you will do:

• Build predictive tools from notebooks to API deployment through automation.
• Deliver actionable insights through presentation for our stakeholders to take data-driven decisions.
• Work on various business topics - conversion, churn, inactivity, lifetime, financial forecast - as well as deliver segmentations of our user & fight against fraud.
• Evangelise other teams regarding data & more specifically data science, converting their needs into concrete projects.
• Doing regular watches regarding data science & technical challenges we can face in order to apply them directly in our projects or POCs.

What we are looking for:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics or any quantitative discipline.
• Having experience in previous companies on business forecasting or revenue modelling.
• 3 years+ of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proficient in one or more of the following: Scala/Spark, Python.
• Affinity for business, product and user experience.
• Ability to deliver engaging presentation for a non-technical audience.
• Curiosity regarding technical challenge.
• Team player, creative and able to set own priorities.
• Fluent in French & English.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on GCP & Docker would be a plus.
