We are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team and help develop a data-driven mindset in the company.

We are part of the BI and Data Analytics division, whose mission is to find levers to further drive Deezer’s growth. Through our analyses and predictions, we ensure Deezer is fitting our users’ needs because data is the voice of our customers.

As a Business Data Analyst, you will use statistics and business modelling technics, turning hundreds of terabytes of data into insights, supporting each product and business decision. You will focus on B2B related topics to support our ambitious partnerships strategy on various verticals (Telco, Retail, Hardware, Entertainment, etc.) and provide insights on the entire lifecycle of our B2B products.

What you will do

  • Define and monitor KPIs.
  • Conduct thorough data-driven analyses to help stakeholders take informed decisions and understand their business (deals performance analysis, industry analysis, new products launch with partners, churn and conversion analysis, lifetime analysis, AB tests, etc. You may also contribute to other topics like content, product, financial modelling, etc.).
  • Design, build and maintain compelling data visualizations and dashboards that can be understood by stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with other Deezer departments (product, finance, marketing, business), influence & support them to take the right decisions.
  • Set-up relevant reporting to the management team and ensure reliability and relevance.
  • Follow-up analysis & projects done by data scientists (e.g. users segmentation).
  • Present outputs of your analyses to stakeholders across all Deezer divisions and key markets.

Profil recherché

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position ideally in a tech environment with a degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, econometrics or any quantitative discipline.
  • Proficient in SQL or equivalent.
  • Data Visualization skills (e.g. Tableau).
  • Passion for data, number and statistics.
  • Passion for technology, industry research and solving business problems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - ability to clearly communicate data analyses results to stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive projects.
  • Team player, creative and able to set own priorities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Curiosity for both problems to tackle and acquiring new skills.
  • B2B experience is a plus.
  • Affinity with the music industry.

As we are always looking to improve our tools and methodologies, Python, Hive, Spark among others are becoming closer allies. They allow us conduct deeper analyses and build advanced data flow management processes.

Those qualifications are not required but a strong interest is appreciated, our in-house Data University will ensure your upskilling :)
