What you’ll achieve

The R&D Project Manager owns all project management deliverables and activities for a complete ORBIS Solution Product. She specifies and coordinates the implementation of a R&D project / Release project.

In this role she is responsible to fulfil the project objectives within quality, time and budget targets, and for managing the associated risks.

He/She is playing a key role in ensuring the timeliness and completeness of deliverables to our markets.

She manages projects and the project team following the agile approach and the budget targets. She reports about status, changes and risks to our internal stakeholder communities.

Thus, this position has direct impact on the quality and market acceptance of the overall solution and deliverables to the different regional markets

You will:

  • Lead planning and implementation of Software Development Projects.

  • Facilitate the definition of project mission, goals, targets, milestones and resource requirements.

  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.

  • Resolve and assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects and functional areas.

  • Monitor the progress, identifies risks and manages mitigation actions.

  • Coordinates set of plans to meet the goals and priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for business process improvements within the project scope.

  • Manage the Project Core Team (PCT) and contributes to developing and improving policies, standards and evaluation standards.

  • Aligned with Solution & Program Manager and Product Owner he/she manages Change Requests towards specification and scope of the project.

  • The R&D project manager is responsible for conducting the mandatory design review meetings.

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.

  • Strong and tested project management skills including risk management.

  • Experienced in Software Development and Software Development Process.

  • Good English knowledge. Ideally also good knowledge of French

Desirable Requirements

  • Experienced with Agile Methodologies for Software Development.

  • Experienced in coaching and motivating teams.

  • A high degree of personal responsibility as well as independent and goal-oriented working methods.
