With over 400 colleagues globally and counting, we are excited to be on the lookout for a Workplace manager to join our Global Workplace team. People are at the center of Choco's sucess and the Workplace team is focused on making sure our Chocorians have what they need to be productive, supported and engaged. The new Workplace Manager will be responsible for our growing HQ in Berlin.

Meet your team

  • Joe (our Workplace Manager in Berlin) will get you up to speed and drive the HQ office together with you.
  • Sazi & Alex (the Workplace Managers in Chicago and Paris) will not only collaborate with you, but will together with you create a truly global workplace experience.
  • Tom (our Global Workplace Manager) will be your manager will support work closely with you on a number of bigger intiiatives

Due to the highly collaborative nature of our business (and the fact that we enjoy spending time together), this is primarily an in-office position.

What you’ll do

  • Own the operations at our HQ in Berlin and while we are growing help build a strong workplace team.
  • Create a superb, exciting and inspiring workspace that is aligned with our sustainability values and our company culture.
  • Help set up, implement and automate local processes (invoicing, purchasing, inventory, asset management) with our internal stakeholders.
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords, including budget control and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate office build-outs and moves.
  • Initiating, planning & organising special events, employee anniversaries, (global) company retreats and many more.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the field of workplace and culture
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, friendly, loyal and confidential
  • Knowledgeable about Berlin and German bureaucracy
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in German (both verbally and written) and have a very good knowledge of English (our company language)
  • Good knowledge of office application/software
  • Love for all things food and knowledge of how to implement sustainable practices is a plus
