Your role
You are seeking an apprenticeship in backend development, are eager to learn and use Python for web development, and want to contribute to new features, improve and scale existing code and help in the effort of maintaining our platform.

Botify is looking for an apprentice who will be integrated in a squad, which works on different product of our platform. You will be paired with a senior mentor who will support you on a daily basis and give you direct feedback. Your work will blend into the development process of a typical engineer, receiving code reviews from your peers (from interns to senior engineers), your code being tested by the QA team and deployed to production continuously.

Typical day means

• participating in your teams sprint ceremonies
• improving the capabilities a product feature and writing Python code using the Django framework
• receiving (and giving) code reviews from (and to) other engineers
• implementing internal tooling in our existing back-office/admin panel in order to enable other teams (support, QA…)
• attending and participating in backend chapter discussions

You are preparing a License, a Master or a coding bootcamp

An interest in backend development; prior experience or projects are a plus but not required

An interest in the tech, software, and start-up/scale-up space

You are curious and want to learn about backend web development, best practices and how a large scale code base functions in production

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Professional proficiency in English and French
