Botify is looking for an engineering manager with proven engineering experience and leadership skills. You can expect to oversee many projects at the same time, build and manage diverse squads of engineers from different disciplines, formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers.

To be successful as an engineering manager, you should have technical foresight, great communication skills, working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another, and an aptitude for managing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage squad leads, helping them grow both technical and management skills
• Propose and manage milestones and dates for projects
• Supervise the work of multiple squads
• Plan and execute strategies for completing projects on time
• Participate in the technical roadmap elaboration
• Ensure the right balance between technical and product roadmaps
• Educate PMs and squad leads on tech debt pros and cons
• Determine the need for training and talent development
• Build the recruitment plan and participate in its execution
• Coordinate with Engineering Management team on projects as needed

Skillset:

• You can speak in French and write in English.
• You’ve been a full-time dev at least 3 years
• You have elevant startup experience
• Awesome communication skills
• Proven experience coaching developers, through Peer programming, Code Reviews, career advice, etc.
• Bonus if you like to write or speak in various public setups.
