About

Since 2015, BlueBoard has been building a SaaS solution in E-Retail Intelligence for consumer goods brands. This solution allows them to understand where and how their products are distributed online.

Concretely, brands often have too little visibility on what e-commerce sites do with their products. BlueBoard allows them to quickly solve their distribution issues (out-of-stocks, price issues), to increase their sales (share of the digital shelf, quality of the product pages) and to protect their image on a global scale (grey market, customer reviews).

To provide all this information, BlueBoard scrapes millions of data points every day from thousands of websites. BlueBoard already serves major international accounts like JBL, BenQ, L’Oreal, Fujifilm, Babymoov, Logitech, Legrand…

Job description

Our marketing team is growing! We’re ready to welcome a new person (that’d be you 👏).

What does the marketing team do?

Our team is in charge of:

  • BlueBoard’s messaging: honing our value propositions, identifying our target personae and crafting messages that will resonate with each of them
  • Lead acquisition: content creation, website, SEO, social media, paid acquisition
  • Sales support: supporting the sales team with messaging, content and lead management.

What would I be doing?

Today, the marketing team works on acquiring new leads, and the sales team is focused on closing hot opportunities. We want to get better at working on leads that aren’t so hot. They could be people who just downloaded a handbook, or leads who had a demo but weren’t responsive afterwards. It’s also our large database of people we reached out to but never replied.

This will require you to work with both the sales and marketing team. You’ll have to understand who these leads are and what they need to hear to progress in the funnel. Then to craft the right message and deliver it with the right timing.

Here’s in more detail what you would be doing:

  • CRM management: you make sure our CRM is reliable and organized.
  • Inbound lead research and scoring: you check that inbound leads are worth our time
  • Lead nurturing: you know our lead base in and out; you can advise the team on which content would resonate with your contacts; you handle email marketing campaigns, outbound emails, drip, etc.

When we say in charge, we mean it. We’ll expect you to come up with improvements, to automate things, and to tell us what we’ve been getting wrong.
You’ll be interacting with the rest of the team to guide marketing activities. You’ll work with the sales team to make sure that everything flows smoothly between them and us.

Preferred experience

We’re looking for someone with impeccable written English skills. That’s the one non-negotiable thing. We’ll need you to write a lot. So ideally, you are an English native, have spent years in an English-speaking country, or were top of your class throughout high school (and you have test scores to prove it).

Other than that, we’d be reassured if you’ve had previous experience in marketing or sales. But honestly, if you’re looking to change fields, that might also work.

A big part of this job is to segment audiences, find out what gives results, what can be automated, etc. You should have an analytical mind and be good at recognizing patterns.

Other important things:

  • You speak and understand French. Not all of us are French, but if you don’t know the language, you won’t enjoy working with us as much. B1 or equivalent is a minimum.
  • You have a thick skin. Leads will sometimes not reply to your emails. Or even be mean to you.
  • You have empathy and rigor.
  • You can legally be an intern in France (you are studying in the EU).
  • We like to keep interns as full-time employees, so we prefer end-of-studies internships with EU citizens.

Recruitment process

We reply to all applications within three days. If your profile ticks most of the boxes, we’ll spend some time on the phone, then meet in person.
