CareOS Technical challenges:
The CareOS project is focused on the development of a new operating system, based on Android, which is a real and very stimulating technical challenge. Indeed, it is the first operating system on a mirror with touchless gestures and a unique graphic design.
The project is composed of a basic core that will host several modules (the CareOS applications). Many new applications will be developed with specific constraints and technologies: IOT, voice commands, machine learning, augmented reality, facial recognition, etc.
In parallel with the mirror OS, a smartphone application will be developed for the Compagnon (Android and iOS).
We are currently working on the latest technologies and Android architectures: Kotlin, Coroutines, Dependency Injection (Koin), Clean architecture, MVI + multi-module project.
These are new projects with a lot of potential where everyone is welcome to bring their ideas and opinions!

And your role in this ?

You will join a committed, caring and dynamic team with a key-role to assist the Lead developer in managing the project and team:

Mission

• Development of new features on the mirror
• Development of the Companion app
• Development of CareOS SDKs
• Implementation of automated tests
• Code review
  But also, very quickly
• Upgrade the skills of junior developers
• Help our Lead Dev on architecture challenges and vision
• Manage the team and sprints when the Lead Dev is out of the office

Required profile

• Computer Engineer or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in native Android (Kotlin)
• Mastery of the main Android libraries (Retrofit, Room, Koin, etc)
• Architectural knowledge (Clean Archi, MVVM, Dependency Injection)
• Rigorous in the quality of the code and respect of the architecture
• Caring in his communication with other team members (and fun!)
• Willing to become Lead Dev in a mid-term evolution and at ease with management
• At ease with changing environment and eager to face challenges
• Good English (written, spoken)
• based in Paris area to be a real daily counterpart to our Lead Dev

Bonus

• Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) used internally for documentation and task tracking.
• Knowledge in Flutter and/or ReactNative
• iOS knowledge
