Lead Infrastructure Engineer - W/M- CDI - BARACODA

    • CDI
    • Télétravail total possible

Baracoda is creating a new era where health is a long-term journey and a daily practice, with tech as its enabler. For everybody. Every day. We infuse connected tech into everyday objects — leveraging AI, data analysis, machine learning, app development, gamification and more. Our B2B2C business model allows for our intrapreneurial culture to flourish, partnering companies like Colgate, Pierre Fabre and Wella for their game-changing product launches.

To make it real, we created 3 pillars : BLabs, BTech and BSolutions. Our BLabs division sets us apart, where we explore new health indexes, incubating ideas pitched by our team and clients. BTech brings together the first full-stack SaaS platform, powering smart objects & apps with software & AI. At BSolutions we regroup talent in electrical, mechanical and software engineering, providing a unique consulting-like service to meet our clients’ most specific demands.

Thanks to a company-wide focus on mastering new tech and building skill sets, we have built a team with over 220 people of 19 nationalities (60% developers and coders), recognized internationally for their creativity and AI expertise. Baracoda grows fast, and we’re on the lookout for talent to grow with us.

    Job description

At Baracoda we are avid DevOps practitioners and cloud native computing adepts. Our systems are entirely cloud-based, mostly built on AWS but also on Alicloud and Azure. Our infrastructure is defined as code using Terraform and Kubernetes. We build systems that are extensively tested and can be deployed automatically through a CI/CD pipeline, and that can scale automatically to support millions of users.

We use an event-based microservices architecture centered around the NATS queue system in our new projects, while existing projects are being refactored towards this architecture. Some other components of our tech stack:

    • CI/CD: werf + ArgoCD
    • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana
    • Logging: EFK stack
    • Authentication: Ambassador

Baracoda already operates infrastructure at scale for some of its companies, such as Kolibree, the company building connected toothbrushes under the Colgate brand. We are ambitious and intend to replicate this success in many other projects across the oral care space. As lead infrastructure engineer, you will design and implement infrastructure for new projects in Baracoda, as well as improve and maintain the infrastructure of existing projects. You will be the only dedicated infrastructure expert in the group, but you will be working with our backend lead and with several of our backend developers who are experienced in infrastructure.

At Baracoda, we strive to keep learning to improve both ourselves and our systems continuously. New ideas are encouraged, and we often dedicate time to researching new technologies and working on Proof of Concepts while designing infrastructure.
