About the Job

Our Money Journey Tribe is searching for a QA Manager who will be responsible for guaranteeing product quality through implementing and driving QA processes at a senior level. You will oversee QA Engineers and Analysts distributed across several squads, all working towards the Money Journey Tribe’s mission of building scalable and trustable payment & financial services that are enablers for Back Market. 

Your mission will be to conceptualize, implement and maintain our QA Strategy and to participate in building new automation tools and frameworks for the Money Journey Tribe whilst handling the career of your direct reports. Your stakeholders will be PO’s, Technical Leads, Developers, Designers etc.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of a QA vision and QA best practices for their associated scope (usually a Tribe). This includes the below activities: 
  • Hiring, development and performance management of QA and technical support roles
  • Being responsible for the definition of the QA vision and strategy and keeping it up to date, by liaising and aligning with squads and our QA Chapter Lead
  • Leading definition and managing delivery of the QA roadmap in line with each squad's need, collaborating with PMs & EMs
  • Defining, monitoring and reporting on quality KPIs representing production and development lifecycle health
  • Foster a feedback loop between production support and QA, making sure customers' pain points are properly prioritized versus product evolution
  • Implementing processes and practices driving quality improvements
  • Contributing directly to QA activities by being hands on (e.g. testing plans, manual & automated tests)
  • What you will bring to the team:

  • A technical vision for your team and a passion for creating automated testing and improving your environment
  • A love to answer a specific problem with a specific solution, and if needed, a bespoke one
  • A passion to work in a high-volume environment. You think big and will drive our scalability to the maximum 
  • A capability to receive and give feedback in a safe and inclusive workplace
  • Great verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Excitement for learning about how our industry works and the impact we bring to both our customers and the world
  • Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance Engineering
  • Competencies in Java, Python, or equivalent coding language
  • Automation framework knowledge (Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is mandatory
  • Skills in DevOps (CI/CD) Docker, Kubernetes
  • An experience in an E-Commerce or Marketplace environment will be a plus
  • Autonomous in implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applications 
  • Strong focus on customer experience, curiosity about how things fit together, and a passion for driving improvements to raise the overall quality level of our software and environments
  • Past management position would also be a plus
