Do you dream about entrepreneur experience and want to be part of building a new business within BackMarket helping a 0.8T$ industry (Pro IT equipment) in a profound mutation changing its way of consuming electronic goods, all around the world? 

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Engineering Manager to own, define and develop a new business: Back Market for Business (B2B). The scope is the end-to-end experience, from supply onboarding and visibility , search to checkout journey, services and support integration that meet businesses needs from SMEs to Large Enterprise, from Public Institutions to associations. . You will be responsible for developing a new product. The scope of this role is very broad, with high visibility and complete autonomy on the scope. It requires a blend of technical & functional expertise, data fluency, user understanding, and business acumen. Back Market for Business  is a company within the company at Back Market.

What you'll be doing :

  • Leading a collaborative team in delivering great software that our customers will love!
  • Collaborating with the product group and other tribes to align the team with company objectives and initiatives across engineering and the wider business
  • Ensuring the development of people and teams through ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Creating a team environment where team members feel like they belong and are supported do their best work
  • Establishing open communication and a culture of feedback between team members
  • Working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor and support the sections they own
  • Working with the team to identify and make improvements in our processes, practices and product
  • Supporting teams in increasing the delivery proficiency by creating a learning environment.

  • Experience and passion for growing, developing and guiding people
  • Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe workplace
  • Interest in working in an environment where leaders support their teams to do great work, through removing impediments, finding improvements, and facilitating effective decision making
  • Enthusiasm about reaching new levels of effectiveness (and quality!)
  • A background as an individual contributor and willingness to help when the team needs it
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Excitement for learning about how our industry works and the impact we bring to our customers and the world
  • Experience working in agile development teams with some knowledge of our following tech stack : AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, RestFul API, Python, Django, VueJs, Nuxt, Algolia, Datadog, Spinnaker, SQS, ElasticSearch, Nginx, UWSGI.
