We are seeking a driven Digital Transformation Intern to contribute to our team and support digital initiatives within the AXA Research Fund. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in fostering a digital-oriented mindset and implementing digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Within the Group, you will join the AXA Research Fund. The AXA Research Fund is AXA Group’s scientific philanthropy initiative. Its mission is to support independent academic research in key areas related to risk and to inform science-based decision-making to address the most important issues facing our planet.

Since 2008, the AXA Research Fund has supported almost 700 research projects led by researchers in over 300 universities in 38 countries. The missions of the AXA Fund are to finance innovative research projects to inform public decision-making and make research accessible to the greatest number of people. As part of its mandate, the Fund engages with a range of strategic partners including international organizations (e.g., IPCC, UNESCO), world class research institutions (e.g., Cambridge University, Bocconi University, ETH Zürich), industry research centers (Swiss Re Institute), foundations (Red Cross) and many more.

These partnerships complement our research portfolio by championing research around selected risk topics and targeting specific geographies (Global South). In addition, the Partnerships serve as a platform for exchange, bringing together leading minds of different research fields, to position knowledge into transformation action agendas across science, business, and public policy.

Within the AXA Research Fund, you will report to the Operations Manager and work transversally across topics to inform the Funds Strategy and Strategic Partnerships Portfolio. If you are searching for an impactful job, have an entrepreneurial, collaborative mindset and like challenges, join us!

What you will be doing:

1. Improve Digital Solutions Development and Maintenance 

  • Collaborate on customer relation management (CRM) and website development to improve efficiency and user engagement.
  • Support the implementation of a robust visualization and filter function for funded projects on the website.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a searching engine optimisation (SEO) strategy for the website in collaboration with the Communications and Media Performance team.
  • Manage the CRM user experience optimization project

2. Build Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Tracking

  • Evaluate and enhance the relevant functions in CRM to facilitate effective information updates.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of updated data in CRM with the team to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Consolidate relevant KPIs to assist with quarterly performance review.
  • Train, guide and influence the team to adopt a more digital-oriented approach to performance tracking

3. Support the Selection Processes for Future Grantees Supported by the AXA Research Fund

  • Manage requests in CRM from institutions, applicants, and our funded researchers.
  • Respond to emails from applicants regarding our grants.
  • Review and update institution information in CRM

Profil recherché

Let’s talk about you

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or Digital Innovation. 
  • Strong interest in digital transformation and technology adoption. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for process optimization. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English, work ability in French is a plus but not compulsory 
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment, while still meeting deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment as a team player 
  • Knowledge in SEO, CRM and content management system (CMS) solutions is a plus 
  • Familiarity with philanthropy/insurance sector is a plus
