About the SEO Team

  • 20+ strong SEO team based in London and Cornwall, UK
  • We are a close-knit team who work hard but also have a lot of fun
  • Although we have a hierarchy, we like to operate in an open and inclusive way

  • The team is made up of SEO generalists, technical SEO experts, SEO content writers and Digital PR specialists
  • We have great collaboration between our main London office and our satellite Cornwall office. Last year we went on a trip to Cornwall together - we surfed, walked and had fun. 
    • These trips aren’t mandatory, so if they’re not for you that’s ok too!
  • We work with clients across automotive, luxury fashion, travel, charity, technology sectors and more!

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced and detailed keyword research and categorisations
  • Create high-quality content and on-page optimisations in line with strategy to increase the quantity of traffic for clients.
  • Execute content strategies for multiple clients to ensure set objectives are met.
  • Take ownership for the project management and delivery of key SEO projects. This may include acting as the client lead for some clients.
    • Liaise with clients regularly (responding to briefs, attending meetings, status reporting, information seeking, managing milestones and approvals)
    • Monitor SEO project performance, timelines and budgets and report on these regularly to the account manager/ director and the client
    • Work collaboratively with cross channel teams to ensure the best result for your client(s)
  • Research audiences, SERPs, competitors and keywords to create a content strategy that will drive quality traffic for clients.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships so that they trust and value your opinions.
  • Advise clients about necessary on-page optimisations
  • Perform in-depth competitor analyses - particularly against content elements of websites and the SERP landscape
  • Deliver SEO campaign work as assigned to you by the account managers and support the team with the day-to-day running of client accounts
  • Understand the client’s products and services, and contribute to client search marketing campaign and objectives
  • Carry out accurate reporting, analysis, research and insights for existing projects and for new business
  • Create content briefs that are focussed on achieving desired outcomes, creating content that meets the brief, proofreading others’ work and delivering to the client
  • Carry out content changes to clients’ websites as required
  • Use a variety of analytical tools to assess competitor activity and profiles, establish client share of voice and spot opportunities for growth
  • Proactively seek training and continuing professional development to stay up to date with developments, algorithm updates and process changes

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • 2-3+ years experience in SEO in a digital marketing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding and passion for digital marketing and SEO
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct research and present back findings coherently
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-moving environment
  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Detailed understanding of, and a passion for, content marketing (onsite editorial strategy, digital PR, or influencer marketing). Record of applying this knowledge to achieve results for clients.
  • Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value to clients.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as seoClarity, Screaming Frog, aHREFs, Keyword Planner, Answer the Public and Google Trends.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google and Bing Search Console and SEO performance measurement using these tools.

Desirable

  • Experience of using G-Suite

 

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work arrangement: two days per week working from the office near St. Paul’s.
