Full Stack Software Engineer (f/m/d)

ArcaScience provides a new way for biopharma to make research by solving the biggest issue they are facing today : data exploration.

ArcaSciences’ technologies are the only ones able to handle and provide a complete end-to-end control over biomedical information, from the medical reports to the real-world evidences.

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to reinforce the development of ArcaScience’s AI-based search engine and extend it with new modular RESTful services. You should have an engaged personality, used to work proactively and with precision – on your own and in a team – and you are passionate about your work. You enjoy broadening your horizon in order to master new technologies and like to expand your skills continuously.

Core responsibilities (You will be)

• Developing scalable and easily-maintainable APIs
• Reusing and improving existing Java and Python APIs
• Participating in the conception and extension of front and back end features
• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Resolving the issues related to the processing of text in heterogeneous repositories and databases
• Improving the front-end development

Requirements & Qualifications (You have)

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or relevant professional experience
• Teamwork spirit
• Strong communication skills in English. A Fluent French is a great plus
• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of professional experience with Python, Java and Javascript
• Experience and knowledge of RESTful architectures, nosql databases, devops
• Professional experience with React or similar front end technologies and frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc…)
• A decent experience with containerization techniques (Docker, Docker-compose, etc)
• A decent experience with front-back ends interactions
• Well-versed in source control with Git
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

Plusses (Would be nice, if you have)

• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing applications (e.g., named entity recognition, entity linking)
• Knowledge of machine learning technologies and platforms (e.g., Spacy, Pytorch,..)
