You are joining the tech team, as the data engineer in one of Apiday’s two squads. Your squad is about empowering users to achieve ESG reporting as fast as possible, while maintaining great quality. It is made of an engineering manager, a product manager, a product designer, a frontend developer, with an additional data skillset, provided by an AI engineer, and you.

We are an ambitious impact start up with a mission of making sustainability data more standardized and available. Our squad goal is core to Apiday’s mission. There are a lot of challenges to tackle : custom data imports, visualization, monitoring, improvement plans. Next year, we plan to empower users with strong AI features, and to continue and deliver a robust and scalable data infrastructure in the hands of our clients.

In addition to the whole squad, you’ll be surrounded by the whole tech team, with our CTO, seniors developers and a head of product.

When you arrive, your mission is to :

Build and maintain a scalable data infrastructure, make sure data is of high quality and available when needed.

• Design and implement efficient data pipelines to ensure a smooth flow of information from client sources (whatever they are) into the data warehouse or storage system. This includes managing integrations.

• Ensuring data quality and integrity.

• Run ETL processes.

• Consider scalability and performance to handle large volumes of data.

• Participate to and review backend developments, to make sure the team delivers quality backend code and architecture that respects Apiday’s technical preferences.

Your means to success

You will be onboarded and reviewed by experienced developers.

We will make sure you get an in-depth understanding of our client issues to make sure you have all the context to find appropriate solutions.

We have regular tech team meetings where we discuss our issues and find solutions collectively.

Prerequisites :

• 4-5+ years of experience as a data engineer / backend developments in a tech company

• Strong backend programming knowledge (Python - Django). Experience with ETL tools and data infrastructure. Experience with API integrations.
