Job summary
Amazon is looking for a senior product manager with proven experience in stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and detailed execution within our EU After Market Services team who will execute towards our ‘Zero Waste’ and ‘Zero Cost’ vision in close collaboration with EU Retail teams.
We aspire to zero: zero waste, zero cost of returns, and zero defects. We are currently looking for a highly committed, entrepreneurial Product Manager to help us execute toward that vision. He/she will own the roadmap to maximize unsellable unit recovery, avoid unnecessary liquidations, and optimize the recall removal process to maximize recovery and reduce waste. He/she will partner with a large number of stakeholders, such as Worldwide tech teams, EU Reverse Logistics Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Retail Category teams, driving scalable and innovative solutions to improve the customer experience while minimizing costs and increase efficiencies.
Partnering with teams in Tech, Supply Chain, Product Assurance, Risk and Safety, Retail, 3P, Operations, Customer Service and Returns and Recoveries, you will influence the global roadmap, drive the collective thinking and build and enhance the product portfolio.
The ideal candidate will leverage their ability to deliver results under ambiguity and to drive programs with cross-functional teams. He/she will have a sound business acumen, strong analytical skills and an ability to roll up their sleeves to deliver results while continuing to innovate. He/she will demonstrate a passion for the customer, for continuous improvement of business processes, and most importantly for making an impact on the environment. Finally, a successful candidate must be able to work across multiple internal teams, leverage existing Amazon resources, and influence even without direct authority. The role is highly visible, and it will require someone who is motivated to make a big impact.
This role may be based in Paris, Luxembourg, Milan, Madrid, London, or Munich.
Key job responsibilities
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for launching initiatives to reduce unsellable liquidations and optimize the recall removal process to maximize recovery and reduce waste.
• Own and manage the AMS FR P&L, liaising with Finance and Retail teams to bridge gaps and put in place improvement plans for short and long term.
• Work with Tech, Returns and Recoveries and Product Assurance, Risk and Security to influence and drive the tech roadmap around removals.
• Partner with key internal and external partners to innovate in customer return experience and operational excellence.
• Identify Unsellable Liquidation avoidance opportunities, partnering with key stakeholders in Retail to secure participation in the top initiatives.
• Work with Product Compliance to understand requirements for Recalls processes, while partnering to understand ways to optimize to fit the needs of the business.
