Information Security is as much a key topic for Akur8 as it is for our customers (insurance companies), and in order to manage and improve our security - and demonstrate how it is implemented to our stakeholders - we are looking for an Information Security Officer.

Reporting directly to the CTO, your typical set of missions will be :

• Ownership of Information Security management at Akur8
• Performing all internal security audits on our systems on a regular basis,
• Training all staff on security related topics (technical and non-technical profiles),
• Responsibility for security policies and their maintenance according to ISO 27001,
• Responding to all security and compliance inquiries from our customers, partners and investors
• Keeping up to date with the state of the art threats and countermeasures

Practically you will be dealing with the following challenges :

• Securing a fully public cloud based SaaS organisation,
• Learning about insurance pricing and public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP…)
• Working with people with different set of skills in a fast growing environment, distributed across multiple timezones

Our current technical stack is :

Software - Angular 8, TypeScript, NGRX, Python, Java/Spring
Infrastructure - Docker, Terraform, Travis, GitHub, Sonar, Sqreen, Sentry, Logzio, AWS, GCP, Azure

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Office who responds positively to both challenges and to young, dynamic organizations.

In order to be considered for the positions, you must imperatively possess the following :

• An “Engineering school” degree, or have a Masters Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics ;
• You have a prior experience of at least 4 years in Information Security (of which at least 2 in Cloud Security), preferably in well regulated sectors (e.g. Banking/Finance, Insurance, Government) ;
• You have an effective and precise communication, both internally (being able to make Security a concern for everyone) and externally (client interaction) ;
• You are organized, structured, autonomous and you like to get things done ;
• You are fluent in English & French.

The following elements, although not obligatory, would be considered a definite advantage :

• You have prior experience performing technical security audits and penetration testing ;
• You have already participated in or owned an ISO 27001 certification process.
