The position forms the perfect compliment to both our sales and research and development teams, assisting clients in both understanding and maximising their use of the best of the ML techniques for insurance pricing.

You’ll contribute by providing industry-related product assistance to the client, as well as elaborating on the different features of the Akur8 suite during interactions with the relevant client contact, be they CTOs, actuaries or data scientists.

The role will involve both pre-sales responsibilities - participating in the sales process by demonstrating the product and accompanying risk management teams throughout the POC phase - as well as post-sales duties such as instruction on the different capabilities of our software, product training and model development.

The successful candidate must meet each of the following criteria in order to be considered for this position :

• A masters degree (Bac+5) in one of the following subjects : Data Science; Actuarial Science; Machine Learning; Applied Mathematics; Statistics ; Physics.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a non-life insurance pricing role / as an actuary in order to understand insurance multinational’s business technical and non-technical imperatives (and to be establish solutions in accordance with them).
• Hands-on experience building Machine Learning predictive models.
• A strong understanding of data science and machine learning techniques.
• Experience of data-driven predictive modelling (GLM’s / GAM’s) & risk analysis in a non-life insurance pricing role.
• Strong communication skills in order to elaborate complex technical concepts to both technical / non-technical audiences (C-Level Management; Data Scientists; Actuaries).
• Fluent English & French or German language skills.
• Readiness to travel both nationally and internationally 50% of the time.
