Over the years, our proprietary technology ActivePivot has proven to be the best solution for analysing terabytes of data in an interactive way. However, even with the advent of machines with tera-bytes of RAM, it cannot handle the petabytes of data that solutions like Google BigQuery can store. Solving this problem currently requires preparation work to either filter or pre-aggregate data.

ActiveViam wants to combine the best of both worlds and enable our ActivePivot solution to directly leverage the storage and compute capabilities of cloud databases like Snowflake or Google BigQuery.

Within a newly-created team of 3 - 5 people in our R&D department, working directly with the CTO, you will build the next solution for multi-dimensional analysis, combining the technology of cloud storage with the performance of ActivePivot. Within a fast-paced environment with a start-up atmosphere, you will find ways to query and pull data from cloud storage at maximum speed to power the unique features of ActivePivot.

● You love hard problems and love achieving the best performance on very large machines and datasets
● You want to work with the best cloud solutions, including BigQuery and Snowflake
● You want to play a leading role, influencing how we design, develop and build our core software in a manner that remains scalable
● You have 3+ years of professional software development experience
● You acquired programming skills with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, Rust with object-oriented design
● You have 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, implementation and scaling) of new and current systems

Ideally, you also have:
● Excellent analytical and communication skills
● Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, availability, and internet and OS security fundamentals
● Experience with some of the major Cloud Providers (GCP or others) or Snowflake
