Within the Tag core team, reporting to a technical team lead, you will reinforce an agile multiskilled team whose mission is to find new ways to improve and optimize the innovative features of our AB Tasty client side.

AB Tasty client side tag is a JavaScript script, written in TypeScript, in charge of executing all the magic of AB Tasty (AB Testing, personalization, analytics, etc.) Thanks to a React.js/Redux webapp, our customers can define test campaigns and customize tag settings tailored to their needs. We then use Webpack within an AWS Lambda written in TypeScript along with REST APIs written in PHP / Symfony to dynamically provide the best tag experience based on client's account data.

The tag core team is responsible for performance improvements, webapp’s tag settings and tag refresh, browser compatibility, overall quality and stability, new challenges with cookieless tracking, core architecture, etc. The tag is a critical part of our business, a bug can be encountered by millions of visitors in production…

This role is ideal for someone with a software engineer background and an interest in bootstrapping QA metrics and monitoring processes within a critical and challenging environment. The role will require a strong experience in software quality assurance, particularly in automated testing frameworks for end-to-end (E2E) JavaScript UI testing and API testing.

Your role will be to drive the QA effort of the squad. In addition, you will join our cross-squad chapter of QA engineers, to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices, and develop common principles for QA across the company.

Technical environment: Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, Sélénium, Postman, Grafana, etc.

A few examples of your responsibilities:

- Working closely with all Engineering and Product teams:

- Develop and maintain automated E2E tests for our JavaScript UIs.

- Design and implement automated tests for our APIs.

- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to define testing strategies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues to ensure software excellence.

- Manual testing and ticket validation.

- Set and monitor tag team quality metrics.

- Depends on the roadmap, further mission like Bootstrap performance tests.

What we look for:

- You have a technical background (engineering school, past as software engineer, software development trainings)

- You have at least 4 years of experience as a QA engineer in a SaaS environment. Proficiency in UI and APIs automation using Cypress or Playwright is also required. Postman and Swagger is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and REST APIs is mandatory

- Knowledge of working with cloud-based microservices architectures and used to contribute to testing efforts

- You can communicate effectively with the product team, the development engineers and other QA engineers.

- Skills in problem solving and software debugging.

- Fluent in French, professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

- Nice to have: Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools

What we offer:

- Huge impact. AB Tasty is only as great as our team. By directly developing the publicly accessible SaaS platform used by all our clients, you’ll have a direct impact on the company’s success.

- The opportunity to unleash your creativity. You’ll be free to contribute to the processes, the tools and the organization of the team, according to the agile principles.

- No micromanaging. Be the owner of your effort - you’ll be one of the team and fully trusted to take responsibility for your tasks. You’ll have every incentive to make a real impact.

International reach. Our audience is wildly international, and our team is too. Although our HQ is located in France, our company language is English.

- Continuous education. We offer many opportunities for each employee to learn and grow from a mix of professional and non-professional topics

- Unique career opportunity. By joining a fast-growing company that’s making waves in the tech industry, you’ll have a wonderful chance to enhance your learning and advance in your career faster than you ever thought possible.

- Lots. Of. Fun. Our incredible magic makers organize awesome events, such as team games, drinks, yoga classes, parties, and a company-wide retreat every year with employees from all countries gathering for 2 days of fun.

- Remote working, flexible schedule. This isn’t a “clock in, clock out” company. We care about your productivity,  not tracking every minute you’re on site. It’s up to you to always be responsible for your work, no matter where you are or what schedule you’re keeping.

- Time for yourself. After a year within AB Tasty, we offer you a day off during which we simply ask you to think about your career expectations with us. It's not always easy to find time for introspection and to envision what path can lead us to a happy career so we offer a Retreat Day as an opportunity to reflect on that. We not only aim to succeed but also to make you succeed.

Our recruitment process:

Our hiring process is made of 4 steps:

1. A Discovery Interview with our Talent Acquisition team (Christine): talk about yourself (experience, career expectations...) and what we offer (environment, missions...) - 45 to 60 minutes

2. A Hiring Manager Interview (Romain) to get to know you better. You'll discuss your skills and motivation to join our team - 60 minutes

3. A Technical Interview to assess your coding and test automation skills with someone from the team - 60 minutes
