Research & Development

The R&D team comprises a group of Product Managers, UI/UX designers, developers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Data Engineers. Their role? To design simple and accessible solutions responding to ambitious challenges, always as close as possible to our users' needs: supermarket field teams.

As true leaders, the Product Managers and UX-UI Designers are focal points between the various departments they work with (Dev, sales, products, technical support, statistics). They take care of defining a product vision then orchestrate its development. Their aim is to put the best possible product in users' hands and then improving it continuously.

The development department creates solutions with innovative algorithms and routinely challenges itself by iterations of one week, by organising itself around the principles of the SCRUM method (Transparency, Introspection and Adaptation). The Devs team works on the whole technical stack and on the various phases of our products: development, tests, deployment and maintenance.

The Data team collects and archives data related to the use of our products, to support our customers but also to consolidate data coming from multiple sources, analyses them and extracts lessons from them enabling the company to manage its activities better and anticipate future customer needs.

    Weaving links between employees and customers or prospects, the Smartway Marketing and Communication department is responsible for boosting Smartway's visibility in France and internationally.

    The department's versatility enables it to work on several projects in parallel: graphic layout, acquisition strategy, communication, marketing... Best marketing department practices are used to stimulate the company's growth. Constantly seeking innovation and creativity, it goes to meet customers to understand them and in this way to adapt the message to put out.

Made up of Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, Customer Success Managers and Key Account Managers, the Sales team's role is to develop the customer base (chains, independents, key accounts…), to ensure our solutions are deployed correctly in the field (implementation, training...), and to ensure customer satisfaction by really meeting their needs.

The Sales team goes to meet prospects and customers (self-service employees, members, department managers, store managers), to ensure correct repurposing of scrap and store performance, with the aim of accelerating the fight against food waste in France and abroad.

  • Statistics Management

    Its role? To compile and issue statistical data on repurposing short-dated products to Customer Success Managers, to enable them to assist customers to manage their scrap and therefore to reduce their financial losses. Through the Stats Management department, the tools are implemented with extensive customer data, enabling the company to meet their needs as precisely as possible.

Technical support and Installations (ATI)

The Technical Support department forms the bridge between customers and the company, so it has a key role in customer satisfaction.

The ATI department carries out remote installation of our solutions at our customers' premises. Its role is also to ensure service continuity by solving any technical difficulty encountered by the customer, in both hardware and software.

The ATI department is ultra-responsive; it anticipates our customers' needs and provides high quality technical solutions as quickly as possible. Their slogan: customer satisfaction first!

Smartway (Zéro-Gâchis, or 'Zero Waste') is a sincere human adventure involved in the fight against food waste.

A food store throws away as much as it earns! While more and more consumers are in need, combating waste should be a priority: stores can now remedy this, while also increasing their profitability.

As a committed company since 2012, originator of 'Zero Waste' shelves, Smartway has created the first Food Waste Management System platform to optimise the end-of-life pathway for food products.

Relying on unique artificial intelligence, Smartway solutions guide in-store teams to detect products approaching their expiry date and to decide the best way to repurpose them: labelling with a suitable discount or simplified donation to charitable organisations.

Smartway is convinced that today's environmental challenges no longer have to be tomorrow's and the technology to combat waste is the future!
