Who are they?
Yago (ex-Seraphin) is a scale-up making insurance simple, fast and human for thousands of customers. As a digital insurance broker, we advise (online and on the phone) and support customers during claims. We grow fast (9x last year) thanks to our disruptive approach and demonstrate very high client satisfaction (net promoter score of 82%, similar to Apple and Netflix, while the average Belgian broker only reaches 7%). Yago recently closed a 3rd fundraising to scale the team and the business internationally.
Yago is based in Brussels, near Merode. Our office is very luminous with closed and open-spaces as well as a beautiful view over the city.
About the team
The Yago Tech Team builds and maintains Yago’s customer facing applications and internal tools. We have a strong focus on making the user journey pleasant and on providing tools to drive our operational excellence internally. We work in close relationships with our Product Team in cycles of several weeks.
We cherish honesty and transparency, love to share knowledge and learn from each other. We are eager to grow, as people and as a company. We are transitioning to a new collaborative way of working where sharing & growing together is very important.
## Our tech stack 💻
Our code has good test coverage, follows strict guidelines (CodeClimate, linting, etc.), is reviewed by 2 pairs on each PR, and many monitoring and CI/DI tools are in place. All our processes and architecture decisions are documented on GitBook. There is always room for improvements, and we thrive to get better at each release. Our current stack is based on:
- Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Tailwind
- AWS Lambda (Node.js), DynamoDB
- AWS deployment using Fargate, Docker, CloudFlare

Your mission 🎯
Being product-market-fit for 2 years, Yago (ex-Seraphin) has a very clear view on the challenges that awaits!
- take a fundamental place there to influence strategic development initiatives
- Consolidate the existing platform
- Keep innovating in the regular insurance market
- Launch new POC for new markets 💪
The Full Stack dev will work in direct collaboration with the CTO and the product team for everything related to the product/business aspects of the developments.

Who we’re looking for 👩💻
The desired profile will ideally have 3-6 years of experience as a developer (full-stack or backend). A good knowledge of:
- any OOP language with min 3 years of experience (Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, …)
- Relational Database (regardless of the technology: MySQL, PostgreSQL, …)
Cherry on the cake: experience and / or knowledge in:
- Agile / Developer productivity- DevOps / CI & CD- systems management in production
- AWS experience (EC2, S3, Route53, Lambdas, Gateway, Cloudfront)- Frontent JS (React, Vue.JS, Angular)
