You will help building the foundations of the operations department, with an important and central role. The operations team works closely with all functional areas of the company to improve Synapse Medicine’s effectiveness and efficiency. Being an operations associate is about keeping the bus running on time, then get it running quicker, more efficiently, with lower fuel consumption and a higher passenger count.
As an operations, software or optimization engineer, you will understands deeply the challenges of technical departments. This role is for problem solvers and team players at heart. You enjoy dedicating yourself to the team in order to achieve the common goals and provide innovative process and automated tooling, let’s keep the bus on tracks together!

You will work in a technical environment combining expertise and the search for innovation. Synapse is developing an artificial intelligence platform that combines advanced deep learning and knowledge structuring techniques. It operates a microservices architecture exposing REST APIs deployed under Kubernetes. The languages used are mainly NodeJS and Python, the interfaces are implemented in ReactJS.

As an operation manager, you will:

• Get an important and central role with a cross-department vision
• Lead, prioritize and support cross-team initiatives and participate in operational decision making
• Anticipate problems before they arise
• Set-up processes and tooling, maintain or re-evaluate them as the start-up grows
• Make sure everyone has all the information to avoid bad decisions
• Place value on relationships

• You have a 3 to 5 years experience as an operations, software or optimization engineer
