The MLRO/Compliance officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company achieves and maintains compliance with its regulatory obligations, as an Authorized Payment Institution. With the necessary knowledge in the company’s regulatory requirements, including its application, they will develop and ensure implementation of required compliance frameworks to achieve this.
This person is also an organization builder. They will build, develop and nurture teams, their processes and tooling to reach excellence as the company rapidly scales-up.
This person will collaborate closely with the CEO of the company and with the MLRO of the Headquarter in France, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, while keeping a customer focus.
Key responsibilities
Ensure that the company complies with the requirements of all applicable regulations and their evolutionDevelop, improve and manage the company’s policies related to AML in line with the latest regulations in the industryMaintain, update and implement a Business Risk Assessment in line with the activities carried out by the companyImplement Group policies and procedures into the company’s policiesDevelop and implement a monitoring system to ensure that all suspicious transactions are investigated, documented and passed on to the relevant authorities if necessaryCarry out periodical risk assessments and advise the company on necessary actionsEnsure that there is an AML compliance culture, including delivery of AML trainingInvestigate and analyze suspicious activity reporting from the transaction monitoring processes, make recommendation of required and report to the regulatory where required.Liaise with 3rd parties and regulators when and as neededct as a liaison officer with 3rd parties and regulators when and as neededWill effectively manage stakeholder communication across the entire company and within the executive team.Communicates compellingly to an internal audience of any size, increasing alignment and momentum for the companySupports team members as needed, providing valuable "translation layer" to cross-functional and executive stakeholdersWhat we are looking for:
5+ years of experience within the compliance & AML Sector, ideally within a Financial Institution1+ years of people management experienceCurrently acting as an MLRO or a Compliance Officer is considered a plusExcellent knowledge of AML regulatory obligationsRelevant certification in AML/CFT a plusExcellent oral and written skills and able to communicate with a variety of both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatorsHave a strong compliance culture, integrity and trustworthinessProven ability to navigate complex, technical, cross-functional environmentsIndependent oversight and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and writing skills in EnglishAbility to handle multiple, competing priorities and projects, with a strong attention to detailCritical thinking/analytical leadership experience.Experience presenting to regulators and senior executive audiencesAs we are an international team, please submit your application and CV in English.
