We are looking for an Instances Control Plane Engineer to join our team. Your main mission will be to create, deliver and maintain software components that orchestrate hypervisors across our global infrastructure. Are you ready to define and strengthen cloud services that will make developers life easier and improve their efficiency ? This is a unique opportunity to join Scaleway, help scale the fundamentals of our Virtual Instances and ease their usage leveraging our APIs, our User Console and our ecosystem of Cloud Products.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build the services that deliver Virtual Instances and sustain our Database, Kubernetes Kapsule and Load Balancer managed services
• Design, develop, test and deploy improvements & new services that run at scale to match our growth perspective
• Work closely with product managers to build the next products and features that will serve developers of any company
• Drive architecture of our virtual instances services, identify current limitations, work with multiple engineering teams (Instances SRE, Network, Storage and Database, Domain) and come up with solutions 

What We Expect from You

• 4+ years of experience as Python backend developer
• A great attitude and desire to collaborate within and with engineering teams
• Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
• Experience with infrastructure as code and continuous deployment
• Experience with Linux systems

• Experience with messaging systems
• Knowledge of one cloud platform and related use-cases 
• Experience as an OSS contributor or maintainer
