Quinten is recruiting a biomedical profile to join the Healthcare team, working in close collaboration with Data Scientists engineers and Account Directors.

Your key responsibilities will be :

1)    Working in collaboration with the team of data science engineers on delivery projects to:

• Provide clinical and scientific input to capture clinical characteristics in real world databases to support analytical work (e.g. modeling), including finding proxies for clinical events and/or scores;

• Structure the data in order to ensure the quality of the analysis from a medical point of view (e.g. include chronic and acute diseases differently);

• Develop variable derivation strategies to extract a maximum of information from data (e.g. therapeutic escalation to measure a patient’s severity);

• Adapt the analytical strategy to align the results with the medical objectives of the project;

• Interpret the output of analyses and assess findings with the existing literature;

• Write up results in reports and publications ;

• Give input on the scientific aspects of projects, coordinating with data scientists, epidemiologists, statisticians, and project managers;

• Performs necessary administrative functions and additional tasks, as required;

 2)    Supporting the Account Directors in the engagement of customers to:

• Provide pharmaceutical competitive context/intelligence to support project medical strategy;

• Participate in consulting in biomedical/pharmacological sciences;

• Participate in proposal formalization and in bid defense meetings;

• Interact with clients, as required, with senior staff involvement, as needed.

 3)    Contributing to the innovation and development activities of the organization to: 

• Perform literature reviews on a therapeutic area or disease to identify and describe unmet needs, standard of care, and pathophysiology;

• Assess potential data sources and partnerships to support the development of disease and care models;

• ·Engage with scientific KOL’s to provide relevant insights and validation of internally developed disease and care models;

• Participate in company-sponsored training programs as required to ensure that skills are learned, maintained and focused accordingly.

Qualifications

• Medical degree, Master’s Degree in pharmacological science or PhD in biomedical science (-omics, physiology, cognitive etc.)
• Relevant professional post-graduate work experience (e.g. pharmaceutical industry, medical writing, work in a health-related consultancy)
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken is a must
• Knowledge of programming (e.g. R, python, PySpark) is preferred, for basic statistical analyses and production of tables and figures
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects

Additional Skills

• Experience in epidemiology is a plus
• Experience with claims data bases or electronic health records (such as SNDS, CPRD, HES, sickness funds data, national or disease registries) is a plus
• Knowledge on pharmaceutical industry, health regulation, and clinical practices is a plus
• Good knowledge of statistical and machine-learning methods is a plus
• Experience on the analysis of -omics is a plus (RNA expression, genetic analyses etc.)
