We are looking for a passionate and resourceful Erlang/Elixir Software Developer, to join our team

You will be responsible for developing high-quality applications and will also be in charge of designing and implementing testable and scalable code. You will be joining a scrum team of 6 developers.
Myriad being focused on financial and digital inclusion within mainly West Africa, you will have an experience in the African market or an understanding of the local challenges. This will be highly appreciated for this position, as this is a pivotal role for our company.

As a Software Developer, you will:

• develop quality software and web applications
• analyze and maintain existing software applications
• design highly scalable, testable code
• find and fix programming bugs
• work with rest of engineering teams to productize innovations

As part of that team, you will:

• own the entire lifecycle for the components that you build, with these components ranging from features through products.
• guide and coach, your fellow engineers in your areas of expertise, but also learn from them in theirs.
• write code that - a year from now - you’ll be able to look at and no wonder what on earth you were thinking.
• Promote reliability across all aspects of the system, and use the “Continuous Testing” part of CI/CD/CT to its fullest to help get there

We’re looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working in a team with other people and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work.

Business Skills:

• At least 5 years of Erlang/Elixir or Ruby experience.
• At least 5 years of Linux experience.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/ IP stack.
• Software architecture or infrastructure design skills.
• Knowledge of API system design with a micro services approach
• Troubleshooting and addressing load issues.
• Client/ Server paradigms.
• Technology used within the Team currently: Elixir, Erlang, NodeJS, …
• Some experience in design software within AWS Stack : Kubernetes, DynamoDB, Opensearch, Aurora DB, Lambda, EMR, …
• Team Player.
• Accountability and Ownership.
• Commitment
