Context
You are an experienced VP Engineering looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to advance your skills and career in a great international company?

We are looking for our VP Engineering who will be our first technology go-to expert and play an integral role in planning and implementing the product and contributing to the product scalability and growth. Reporting directly to the global CTO Software R&D of the group, you will be managing the developers and engineering team.

Missions

  • Hire, develop and retain talents in the development team.
  • Manage team objectives, assignements, and allocation.
  • Develop, track and control budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.
  • Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet scalability and needs.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy client uptime and internal financial targets.
  • Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence.
  • Consolidate our technology platforms and create plans for each module controlling technical debt.
  • Track, analyze and monitor technology performance and client SLA metrics.
  • Propose a specific plan to meet scalability and control/reduce technical debt. Manage the microservices to convert monolith app into a microservices architecture.
  • Ensure clear progress status, risks and alert management on projects.
  • Collaborate with customer delivery team to meet client priorities and satisfaction.
  • Oversee all system design and changes in system and applicative architecture.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape. Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
  • Build strong practices in UX/UI, DevOps, product quality and documentation.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.

How we work
Driven by the Agile Scrum method, we are organized in squads of 6-8 people featuring a Product Owner, a Lead Developer (acting as Scrum Master), Frontend & Backend Developers and QA Engineers. Our DevOps Engineers and UI/UX Designers are dedicated to all squads.

Requisitos

Required

  • 5+ years previous working experience as a VP Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with complex project management and agile methods.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive problem solver, driven.
  • Strong ownership.
  • Attention to details.
